Rachel and Éric’s Royal Heritage Romance
Rachel and Éric discovered their perfect setting at Château de Fère, near France’s Champagne region. The 13th-century château, with its rich royal history – once home to Louis VI’s grandson and later Charles IX – provided more than just a backdrop. Its ancient stones and partial ruins created an atmosphere where past and present could meet beautifully for their intimate celebration.

The château’s legacy shaped every aspect of their day. Against weathered walls that have witnessed eight centuries of history, their ceremony unfolded in natural elegance. Soft pastel decorations brightened the historic stone, while touches of blue honored both the venue’s royal connections and the couple’s commitment to each other. The famous portico by Jean Goujon, the sculptor known for his work on the Louvre, provided a magnificent setting for their dinner celebration.

Wedding Planning by Instant de Caractère & Photography by Julie Chef
Rosalie Grandvoinnet of Instant de Caractère brought refined style to the historic setting. Her design acknowledged the château’s heritage while creating a celebration that felt current and personal. The reception tables captured this balance perfectly, with details that complemented rather than competed with the venue’s natural character.
Julie Chef’s fine art photography style preserved every moment in images that felt as timeless as the setting itself. Meanwhile, Charlène Breton of Chamade Communication created wedding stationery inspired by toile de Jouy, adding another layer of historical connection to their celebration.
Together, these creative partners crafted a day where every element served both style and story. Their work showed how a venue’s history could enhance rather than overshadow a modern love story, creating moments that felt both grand and deeply personal.
