The couple first met in 2011 in China at a dinner organised by the parents of Zimeng. The idea was that, as a student of an international exchange program, the family wanted to spend some time in France before agreeing to send their daughter away to fulfil her dream of learning French and completing her master’s degree.

The proposal was in their favourite restaurant in Paris named ‘Affinité’, where Zimeng thought they went to celebrate their 8 years anniversary. She didn’t expect to see Bolun on the knee asking ‘Will you marry me?’ that night. The answer was coming from the heart and of course, it was ‘Yes!’.
