The Couple’s JourneyÂ
Patrick and Lucie met and fell in love at a Jazz festival in Atlanta eight years ago. Their mutual attraction was strong and immediate. Patrick adored Lucie’s lively spirit, and Lucie was drawn to his handsome, funny nature. Patrick’s French-American roots made France, especially Provence , very dear to them. This bond grew as Patrick’s family lived in South France . Naturally, they chose this beautiful area for their wedding. The couple picked Clos d’Hullias in Provence , a wedding venue embodying the region’s charm and beauty, for their special day.
Choosing the Perfect Wedding Venue
Rooted in their diverse backgrounds, with Lucie being Czech-American and Patrick French-American, France held a dear place in their hearts, especially Provence. Thus, they selected the Clos d’Hullias, a stunning 17th-century estate near Avignon for their wedding venue. This UNESCO World Heritage site offered an idyllic backdrop with its historical limestone walls, fragrant lavender fields, sprawling olive groves, and breathtaking vineyard vistas.
Envisioning the Wedding Aesthetic
Lucie dreams of a wedding that blended elegance with a touch of charm, marrying modern tableware with classic vintage furniture. She chose a palette of golden and rose blush tones to create a fresh, glamorous ambiance. The floral arrangements, crafted by Melaine Fleurs, featured rose blush roses, lisanthius, and cream carnations, perfectly encapsulating the couple’s vision of relaxed elegance and romance.
Musical Moments
During the ceremony, Patrick was escorted by his mother and Lucie by her brother, with Louis Armstrong’s ‘What a Wonderful World’ playing in the background. Their first dance was to Stevie Wonder’s ‘I Just Called to Say I Love You’, a song that mirrored their playful and light-hearted love.
