For this inspired shoot Karen from Perfect Day by Karen & Jenny from Fairy Fleur came together to showcase a stunning Autumn wedding in France…
Located in the picturesque Dordogne region in the South West of France
“This styled shoot was held at the stunning Chateau Lacanaud. Which is located in the picturesque Dordogne region in the South West of France. This luxury French Chateau was chosen as it has so many picturesque spots across the 20 Acre estate.
With the addition of a lake and woodlands. There is plenty of choice for every couple and each event during the wedding. This venue offers spectacular luxury. While also feeling homely and warm. We also loved this venue as we could implement some amazing French traditions into the shoot.
The key colour theme was Merlot
The vision behind this shoot was to showcase a romantic wedding theme but that also flaunted elegance. The key colour theme was Merlot. Which was softened with pinks and copious amounts of foliage with the use of eucalyptus, eleagnus, and autumnal leaves.
We used a real couple to capture the true love at a wedding and to fully capture the romance.
A cellist was the perfect fit for a romantic elegant theme
All the suppliers from the Nik Bridal Hair with the addition of Merlot velvet ribbon. To the bride’s hair and Skin23’s beautiful use of Merlot lipstick in the first look and Merlot shimmery eyes on the second look. Captured the colour theme perfectly and pulled the theme together.
The theme was enhanced with the ceremony music. For this shoot a cellist was the perfect fit for a romantic elegant theme. Samantha Bramley provided wonderful music which was both modern and sophisticated.
The elegant slightly bohemian dress form Appelez Moi Madame was sophisticated and stylish. But was still light and airy to keep the romantic feel to the day. Which worked perfectly for the whole day from ceremony to evening. With the change of hair and accessories also from Appelez moi Madame.
It was hugely important everything linked back to that first moment the guests would have known about the wedding with the stunning Merlot Invite from Smythson.
Cymbidium orchids, dahlias, anemones, amaranthus lisinathus, larkspur and celosia
Jenny from Our Fabulous Things provided beautiful layered plates. A selection of both tapered candles and pillar candles for the table scape which was pulled together with the stand out decoration of this day which was the flowers. Everything from the full bridal bouquet of peonies, roses, and the stunning Merlot hydrangea for the ceremony were all outstanding and fully captured the styling of the day.
Fairy Fleur used so many interesting flowers to name just a few cymbidium orchids, dahlias, anemones, amaranthus lisinathus, larkspur and celosia.
So for this shoot we showcased how you can use your much loved fur family
For all weddings it is so important to make them your own. So for this shoot we showcased how you can use your much loved fur family.
We used Bertie which is actually the Chateau owners dog and he took his role of walking the bride down the aisle very seriously.
As this inspiration was based in South West France it was essential to capture two of the current trends happening in weddings here. Firstly the magnificent Champagne Tower. Which adds a fun and showstopping moment to any drinks reception. We used a local method traditional from Domaine De La Tuilerie La Breille.
The other French tradition captured was the Croquembouche which Lucy Mckelvie did an wonderful job of creating. With the sparklers again this was a great special effect to make the cake cutting a time to be remembered.
This shoot was all captured by the amazing photographer Ala Breskaya and videographer Yann Blanc from WedStory. Who work in harmony with each other to capture stunning footage.”
