At Chateau La Durantie in Dordogne, a team of talented suppliers set out to create a styled wedding shoot that shows off what French local wedding vendors can do. The place is pretty special on its own – full of charm and set in a beautiful part of the world. With Quinze Heures Quinze leading the planning, they aimed to give a taste of just how magical a wedding here can be. From the flowers to the table settings, everything was picked to highlight the best of the chateau and the talents of those who made it all look stunning.
A Royal Color Palette
Set against this beautiful historic chateau, the colors of royal blue and soft yellow were chosen to reflect France’s noble past and the timeless elegance of gold. These colors were woven into the flowers, creating a simple yet rich backdrop that pays homage to France’s grand tradition.
The Artistry of French Table Setting
The art of the table was meticulously curated, incorporating toile de Jouy fabric, a hallmark of French artistry. A traditional silverware set, reminiscent of those found in aristocratic French households, was chosen over a modern one, paired with plates featuring a delicate gold trim to harmonize with the overall design. Montaigne chairs were selected for their elegance, complementing the sophisticated setup.
Curating the Styled Shoot’s Blooms
The floral selections mirrored the color palette, with refined delphiniums adding vertical drama to the compositions, suggesting a seamless ascent onto the tables. Volume was introduced through lush hydrangeas, and luxury through white peonies and roses, while the delicate blooms with yellow centers provided a discreet nod to the color of gold.
The flower arrangements were intentionally not overdone, echoing the French penchant for understated elegance. Even the chandeliers were adorned with blooms, an aesthetic choice meant to introduce an element of the extraordinary.
A Trio of Elegance
The bride showcased three distinct looks: a modern and festive ensemble for the pre-ceremony preparations, capturing the joyous spirit; a Jesus Peiro creation for the day, exuding royal elegance with its caped design; and a Pronovias gown for the evening, chosen for its couture feel and detail, perfectly paired with the evening’s modernity and a bouquet of calla lilies. The transition from day to evening wear illustrated the versatility and depth of French wedding fashion
