Location: Cavaillon, South of France
Alex and Cecilia’s Journey
Cecilia and her now husband first met in the scenic city of Montreux over 6 years ago, where they both lived. They shared dreams of marriage and starting a family together. In a heartwarming proposal, when she was 4 months pregnant, Alex popped the question. He cleverly set up his phone to record under the pretence of taking a photo during a stunning sunset. The surprise proposal left her laughing uncontrollably, a moment so surreal she had to pinch herself to believe it was real, setting the stage for their enchanting wedding at Le Petit Roulet.
Planning Their Dream Wedding
Planning their wedding in Switzerland was surprisingly straightforward, despite choosing their wedding venue in the South of France, a beautiful Provence location, being a 4-5 hour drive away. They visited Le Petit Roulet just once before their big day to finalize details like the venue, makeup trial, and wine selection. With the help of a close friend and experienced wedding planner, Savina Uldry, and her team, planning felt like organizing a dream holiday and honeymoon rolled into one. The venue’s recommended vendors, many of whom were friends or previous colleagues, added a personal touch to their special day.
The Wedding Design
The venue in Provence was the epitome of charm, perfectly fitting their vision. Cecilia and the wedding planner worked with a talented florist to pick out the wedding colors: rich purples, soft blush, and a touch of deep red. Then he skillfully arranged these colors into beautiful floral arrangements, adding romance to every corner. The reception featured two long tables, adorned with wooden chairs and elegant dinnerware, creating a French-style wedding that was both welcoming and stylish.
The Soundtrack of Their Love
For the ceremony’s entrance, they chose “Can’t Help Falling in Love”, sung by his partner’s friend Yasmina. This timeless song mirrored their deep connection and was a fitting tribute to their love story. Their first dance was to “At Last” by Beyoncé, a romantic ballad that symbolized the culmination of their journey to find true love, making it the perfect backdrop for their first dance as a married couple.
