Love and Sunshine: Tariq and Abbie’s Dream French Wedding
Tariq and Abbie’s love story began in 2010 during their first week of medical school. Initially friends, they grew closer and began dating in October 2011. In September 2019, Tariq proposed to Abbie in a romantic setting in Venice at the end of the Grand Canal. Known for their love of travel and sunshine, the couple chose to have a destination wedding in France, attracted by its beautiful chateaux, excellent wine, and convenient transport options from the UK.
The wedding was a small, intimate affair with close family and friends, allowing for several days of celebration. The couple’s wedding style was classic and timeless, featuring a color palette of neutrals and pastel pinks. Abbie’s bouquet was a beautiful mix of these colors, while the table florals included eucalyptus and white flowers, lovingly arranged by her closest friends. Personal touches were abundant, with wedding name cards created by one of Abbie’s bridesmaids and hair and makeup done by other talented friends. During the ceremony, guests were treated to music composed by Tariq’s brother Ibrahim, and the couple’s first dance was to Blake Shelton’s “I’ll Name the Dogs.” The festivities continued the next day with a lively pool party, complete with a paella and pizza van, making the wedding celebration truly unforgettable.
