Location: Chateau Bouffemont
The Story Behind the Shoot
Photographers Theatre of Real Life, along with a team of German and French collaborators, created a stunning fashion wedding editorial at the beautiful Château Bouffemont, located near Paris. In the 19th century, the Château hosted prestigious ceremonies for its former residents, the Marquise of Preignes and Baron Empain. Just 30 kilometers from the center of Paris and nestled in the heart of Montmorency Forest, this venue offers a backdrop of classic French architecture.
Wedding Style: A Blend of Elegance and Minimalism
Desaturated tones lend an intimate atmosphere to this wedding editorial. Inspired by the cinematic photography of Peter Lindbergh and the fashion shoots of photographer and designer Hedi Slimane, the style highlights minimalism and elegance. Traditional and refined craftsmanship details, such as handmade stationery featuring fashion illustrations of the bride and groom, add a touch of handcrafted luxury, which is more in demand than ever. Modern details also stand out, including a transparent bridal purse filled with flowers instead of a traditional bouquet, and a pistachio-colored edible table setting.
When Fashion Meets Documentary Photography
The shoot featured graphic silhouettes and a touch of melancholy, blending intimacy between the couple with the high-end location. By mixing fashion and documentary photography, they balanced luxury and simplicity down to the smallest detail. We created special nonchalant French vibes while maintaining timeless and effortless chic.
