While we must keep this lovely couple’s story private (as they wished), their Wedding at Airelles Gordes was simply too beautiful not to share. Imagine finding a place so magical that it feels like it was pulled straight from a fairytale. They fell in love with this stunning hotel, perched high above one of France’s most beautiful villages, and knew instantly it was where they wanted to celebrate their love.

Let us tell you about Gordes first – it’s one of those places that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a postcard. This medieval village is literally built into the side of a cliff in Provence, with ancient stone houses and winding cobblestone streets that climb up the hillside. It’s so pretty that it’s officially listed as one of France’s most beautiful villages, and once you see it, you totally get why. The whole place seems to glow golden in the sunlight, especially at sunset.
The couple chose one of these incredible hanging terraces for their ceremony – imagine saying your vows while perched above the French countryside, with views stretching all the way to the Luberon mountains. You’ve got lavender fields in the distance, ancient olive groves, and the terracotta roofs of Gordes tumbling down the hillside below you. Pretty special, right?
Celebrating their wedding at airelles gordes in True Provence Style
After the ceremony, everyone sipped champagne and enjoyed local treats while watching the sun cast its golden light over the village. For dinner, they kept that magical atmosphere going with one long table set up under the stars on the terrace. Everything was done in soft colors with fresh flowers – you couldn’t get more Provence if you tried! The food was incredible too – all local specialties like cheeses, truffles, and fresh seafood, paired with amazing French wines and of course, Champagne.
As night fell, tiny lights twinkled everywhere, creating the perfect setting for the couple’s first dance. Behind them, Gordes lit up like a painting, its stone buildings glowing warmly in the evening light.
Their photographer Manda Razaf captured all these wonderful moments. It just shows that sometimes the most magical weddings are the ones that keep things simple and let the natural beauty of the place shine through.
