The chateau's origins trace back to the 12th century when it was first erected, with significant contributions by Thomas d'Aulnoy in 1250. The surrounding moat, dating back to the 16th century, and the 18th-century architecture add to its historic charm. Recently restored between 2018 and 2021 by architects Louis-Jules Bouchot and Jean-Marc Pitet, the château showcases eclectic elegance amidst 16 acres of private grounds and woodlands. Notable for its literary connections to the Countess d'Aulnoy, the venue offers a Grand Salon, terraces, and extensive gardens. Getting there

From Paris: Château de Bonaventure is conveniently located just an hour's drive from Paris. The quickest route is via the A4 highway towards Metz/Nancy. Take exit 13 towards Coulommiers, and continue on D231 to reach the chateau in Aulnoy.

From London: From London, take the Eurostar to Paris Gare du Nord. From there, transfer to Paris Gare de l’Est and take a train to Coulommiers. The chateau is a short 10-minute drive from Coulommiers station, accessible via taxi or rental car.
