Marija’s style is refined, modern and editorial, with a strong focus on floral scenography and draping. She is drawn to elegant compositions, soft yet structured palettes, and flowing textiles that transform a space with subtlety and impact. She creates designs that feel both timeless and contemporary, always tailored to the couple and the venue, producing sophisticated and immersive settings where every element feels intentional and harmonious.

Experience

Marija has been working in the world of floral design and event aesthetics for over 20 years. She initially trained at a young age alongside florists and decorators, developing her skills through hands-on experience as a freelance creative. She later chose a more structured career path in business and sales while continuing to nurture her creative work, remaining actively involved in the industry and refining her expertise through further training in disciplines such as draping, fine-art styling and event etiquette. This dual background allows her to combine a strong creative vision with a solid understanding of client experience and project management. She eventually founded Poppy Bloom to bring floral design, draping and scenography together into refined, immersive environments for weddings and private events. The studio is based in the South West of France, near Bordeaux, and works primarily across the region while regularly travelling throughout France and across Europe for destination weddings.
