Blush Tones and Coastal Light at Domaine Rocabella, Cote d'Azur
Late-summer wedding at Domaine Rocabella on the Cote d'Azur: 120 guests, blush and amber florals, a Floure gown, photographed by Silvia Poropat.

The rain was still falling when the ceremony began. One hundred and twenty guests sat inside Domaine Rocabella's glass-walled pavilion, the Mediterranean stretching grey and silver through every window, while a singer's voice carried over the sound of water on the roof. George, born in New York to an American father and French mother, and Danielle, born in Belgium to a Dutch father and Persian mother, had chosen this historic French wedding venue long before they set a date. By the time they raised their joined hands, the clouds had split apart and late-summer sunlight poured across the terraces.
Getting Ready

Danielle's morning started in the bridal suite, her bridesmaids in matching blue pyjama sets painting nails on the bed while Trine Juel pinned her hair into a sculptural updo. The gown, a two-piece by Floure: a corset bodice with lace straps and a silk taffeta ball skirt that moved with serious weight. She carried it through the pink marble entrance hall, past the rose marble columns and up the curved staircase. Destination wedding planner The Yes Maker had shaped every detail of the weekend, and the morning felt exactly as unhurried as Soline Barathon had promised.

Couple Portraits

George reached for her face in the glass conservatory, and for a second neither of them said anything. Rome-based wedding photographer Silvia Poropat, working between film and digital, let the iron-framed windows and garden light do most of the work. Their portraits moved from the conservatory to the Mediterranean terrace: the cathedral veil catching wind against the coastline, his hand on her waist, the kind of photographs that feel less posed than paused.
Bridal Party

The bridesmaids came down the curved pink marble staircase in mismatched silk gowns: olive, coral, gold, each holding a calla lily bouquet. On the Mediterranean lawn, with destination wedding venues across the South of France coastline stretching behind them and groomsmen in white dinner jackets beside them, the full party looked like a film still from a different decade.
Reception

Dinner was set in the airy reception room: round tables, white cane-back chairs, amber dahlia and cream rose centrepieces by Elena from Tepee Sauvage. Amandine from Citron Pavot served family-style: burrata with honey and chili oil, sole meuniere, beef filet with sauce au poivre, and truffle fries. The evening built toward a three-tier ruffled white cake, Champagne Deutz, and a dance floor where guests sipped from baby bottles and watched a pink pony pinata explode over their heads. After dark, the after-party bar poured Espresso Martinis under the Cote d'Azur coastline.
